Sabaton Add Berserker to Legends as Deluxe Disc Lists Reveal Three Different Listening Paths
Sabaton have released “Berserker” and announced an expanded edition of Legends for March 5, 2027. The song arrived on November 6, ahead of a separate video premiere on November 9. The new edition extends the band’s 2025 album with additional material and guest versions, while a three-CD package offers three quite different ways of moving through its stories.

The original Legends has 11 tracks, beginning with “Templars” and ending with “Till Seger.” That sequence remains intact at the start of the 16-track deluxe album. “Berserker,” “Champion of Christ” and “To Glory” follow, before versions of “Templars” with Pop Evil and “Crossing the Rubicon” with Nothing More close the disc. A count of five extra tracks therefore includes two returns to songs already heard earlier in the running order.
The three discs follow different sequences
| Disc | Tracks | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Deluxe album | 16 | Original sequence plus five additions |
| Storyteller edition | 27 | Songs interspersed with spoken stories |
| Symphonic edition | 12 | Alternate versions through Berserker |
The three-CD Digibook’s Storyteller disc alternates songs with named storytelling tracks. “A Viking Saga” comes immediately before “Berserker,” and “In The Shadow Of The Crescent Moon” leads into “Champion of Christ.” “Legends Never Grow Old” then closes the sequence. The 27 entries contain 13 songs and 14 storytelling tracks. Anyone expecting 27 separate songs can see from that order that the extra space is being used to introduce and connect the material.
The symphonic disc is shorter. It lists alternate versions of the original 11 songs and “Berserker.” The guest performances, “To Glory” and “Champion of Christ” appear elsewhere in the package. Listeners following a particular title will need to check the disc as well as the total track count. The three sequences overlap extensively, and each makes a different use of that shared material.
The standard deluxe CD carries the 16-track album. The black double vinyl has those same 16 tracks across four sides, with “Berserker” closing side C and “Champion of Christ” opening side D. The Digibook adds the Storyteller and Symphonic discs for listeners interested in those presentations. This gives owners of the original album a fairly specific choice between the added tracks and the longer listening detours.
For now, “Berserker” is already available to hear. Sabaton describe it as inspired by the legendary lone Viking warrior at the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066. The forthcoming video features Eric Roberts and is scheduled for 3 p.m. CET on Monday, November 9, which is 5 p.m. in Turkey. The March album date leaves several months between the single’s introduction and the full expanded collection.
