Drake: Songs & Lyrics

Toronto is the starting point for Drake’s story, but his records rarely stay in one musical lane. He raps, sings and brings both approaches to the same song. Thank Me Later was his studio debut in June 2010; Take Care arrived in November 2011. The latter’s title track teams him with Rihanna, while HYFR has Lil Wayne beside him. A glance at those credits already tells you that the guest list is part of the story.

Sometimes he shares more than a track. Her Loss is a joint album with 21 Savage, released in 2022. PARTYNEXTDOOR is his partner for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which followed in 2025. Neither should be confused with a solo Drake album that happens to have a few features.

That difference is worth keeping in mind when browsing his lyrics. Start with the solo songs, follow a collaboration, or look for a verse he contributed to another performer’s record. Each route follows a different credit through a catalogue built around both his own voice and the people recording with him.
