That’s My Boy
I wake up to a slap in the face
A lollipop in my pillowcase
He says daddy I wet the bed
I make him a meal
And he makes a mess
Half on the floor and half on his chest
Another day in the life of a stay at home dad
But you know I can’t stay mad
When he reaches up and takes my hand
That’s my boy
Out in the front yard
Throwing rocks at the neighbors car
Splashing all through the mud
Doing things he never should
Well that my boy with the curly hair
Cant take him anywhere
So you know he’s my pride and joy
That’s my boy
I take him to the grocery store for awhile
He throws a fit in the cereal aisle
I tell everyone he’s the neighbor’s kid
I take him to the park push him on the swing
Throws another fit when we go to leave
My nerves are push to the end
But he makes it all worth while
Whenever he throws me that smile
That’s my boy
Out in the front yard
Throwing rocks at the neighbors car
Splashing all through the mud
Doing things he never should
Well that my boy with the curly hair
Cant take him anywhere
So you know he’s my pride and joy
That’s my boy
One day he will be big and strong
He won’t have a lot of time for me
But until that day comes along
I treasure these moments I can say
That’s my boy
Out in the front yard
Throwing rocks at the neighbors car
Splashing all through the mud
Doing things he never should
Well that my boy with the curly hair
Cant take him anywhere but..
So you know he’s my pride and joy
That’s my boy
He will always be my pride and joy
That’s my boy
Yeah that’s my boy
