Lyrics to Why Do We

Oooo...

People say that they can change

But, they will never make arrangements

To schedule meetings with god almighty

The one and only lord up above

Why do we seek the lord when we're in danger

But when we're in riches

We act like he is just a stranger

Why do we always seem to call on him

But when we fall astray we always seem to fall back and sin

Money is the root of our evil

God won't give us what we can't handle

And how do we dig a hole deeper than you whoa

Yet still he takes away all of our problems

Why do we seek the lord when we're in danger

But when we're in riches

We act like he is just a stranger

Why do we always seem to call on him

But when we fall astray we always seem to fall back and sin

Day after day I break down in sorrow

There is no telling what promises tommorow

I'm hoping and praying my spirits never hollow

(Lord show me the way)

And I will follow

Why do we seek the lord when we're in danger

But when we're in riches

We act like he is just a stranger

Why do we always seem to call on him

But when we fall astray we always seem to fall back and sin

Soon you'll be back

And we wont be ready

The time is now and his brace is pushing steady

I ask you for guidance and simple understanding

I know your love is some naturally unfailing (whoa)

Why do we, why do we, why do we

Seek the lord when we're in danger

But when we're in riches

We act like he is just a stranger

Why do we always seem to call on him

But when we fall astray we always seem to fall back and sin

Why do we seek the lord when we're in danger

But when we're in riches

We act like he is just a stranger

Why do we always seem to call on him

But when we fall astray we always seem to fall back and sin

(Repeat 5x)

(Speaker Kiwini Vaitai)

Why do we seek the lord when we're in danger

But when we're in riches

We act like he is just a stranger

Why do we always seem to call on him

But when we fall astray we always seem to fall back and sin
