Lyrics to Free as the Light

If you give me things just to own me

That not how to be

I'll give you anything if only

It sets you free

If life gets you down then keep your head up proud

And embrace your spirituality

Cause love is all around and life is lived right now so

Come and sing my song with me

Cause I'm singin

I'm free

Free

Free as the light in the day

Said I'm free

Free

Free as the light in the day

To sing my song

To sing my sing

We came in chains to place that

Preached equality

We grew in pain to place that

We just had to be

If your skin is brown then we will keep you down cause

You can't have the same things as me

Well I'm so glad we found that we turned it around and

Now that I can stand here and sing

Well I'll sing

I'm free

Free

Free as the light in the day

Said I'm free

Free

Free as the light in the day

I'm free

Free

Free as the light in the day

Said I'm free

Free

Free as the light in the day

To sing my song

To sing my sing
